Join us for Mothering Sunday, an old tradition of the Anglican Community.

Since the Middle Ages, the emphasis of Mothering Sunday has been on the family: the family of God and the human family. Children came home to worship with their families in the diocesan cathedral, bringing gifts for their mothers, flowers or simnel (Latin: siminellus) cakes made with fine wheat flour.

We would like to invite you to bake a simnel cake and bring it to church. The cakes will be served after the 10:30 AM service in the Parish Hall.
