Please join us for a concert with participants of the "Canadian Renaissance Music Summer School" (CRMSS). The theme is The Ambassadors: Travel and Diplomacy and Espionage, Oh My! and so in this concert you'll hear masterpieces by some of the most interesting composers of the era who were involved in international intrigue from Renaissance Europe.
This concert will include choral, instrumental, and solo vocal music, all written during the 16th and early 17th centuries. You'll hear different sized ensembles and both secular and sacred music.
We'll sing music by composers such as Orlande de Lassus and Josquin des Prez, as well as repertoire drawn from a famous collection of manuscripts from the Renaissance by the renowned Flemish scribe, composer, and diplomat Petrus Alamire.
The concert starts at 4:30pm and will last approximately 2 hours. There will be an intermission.
